As the first structure to join this ground-breaking initiative, Golden Sea Villas sets a precedent for Sustainable tourism by contributing to reforestation efforts worldwide.
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Paros, Greece, Golden Sea Villas exemplifies a commitment to environmental stewardship by partnering with the World Sustainability Foundation to plant 175 trees in Central Africa.
Margarita Dendrinou, Golden Sea Villa’s MD, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, stating, “As a dedicated advocate for environmental sustainability, I have chosen to be a part of the Friend of Earth ‘One Guest, One Tree Planted’ project. This initiative aligns with my commitment to preserving the planet and promoting eco-friendly practices. By integrating this programme into my hotel business, I aim to enhance our reputation as a responsible and caring establishment, while also contributing positively to the environment by planting trees for each guest who stays with us.”
The “1 Guest – 1 Tree Planted” initiative, launched by the non-profit arm of the World Sustainability Organization, aims to revolutionize Sustainable tourism globally. This innovative project invites tourist facilities such as hotels, resorts, lodges, B&Bs, and campsites worldwide to participate by planting one tree per guest.
The reforestation project, initiated in Central Africa, is a testament to the World Sustainability Foundation’s dedication to preserving biodiversity. Through the planting of endemic species in previously forested areas, the project not only restores vital ecosystems but also empowers local communities and safeguards wildlife habitats.
By collaborating with the World Sustainability Foundation on this project, Golden Sea Villas not only supports reforestation efforts but also contributes to a global movement towards Sustainable tourism. 8. Life on Land (SDG 15): Through initiatives focused on land conservation, biodiversity conservation, and Sustainable land management practices, the project contributes to protecting, restoring, and promoting Sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems.

Deforestation remains one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time.
