Friend of the Earth® certified Sustainable Fashion brands under the spotlight at Pure London show

Friend of the Earth, the international certification program for sustainable textiles and fashion, will showcase over ten Sustainable Fashion Project brands at Pure London, the major UK fashion exhibition, from the 16th to the 18th of July 2023. Thousands of international buyers and producers, among others are expected to attend the show at the iconic Kensington Olympia in London.

Some Friend of the Earth® certified fashion and textiles originate from Friend of the Earth® certified agriculture producers, others are recycled or upcycled. They are produced respecting the environment and workers. Friend of the Earth® criteria for sustainable Fashion requires, for example, a social and environmental management system, protection of wild flora and fauna, appropriate water resources management, waste and energy management, and social accountability.

Friend of the Earth®’s stand in Pure London will display garments of designers from Albania, Brazil, Italy, Nigeria, Switzerland, the UK and the USA. 

Natural Cotton ColourTrópiccaCelesteDemodê Ateliê, and Crina are sustainable Brazilian fashion brands focused on womenswear and jewelry. 

Zoë Klose is a Swiss brand of sportswear made from fishing nets & other recycled material. 

Reve de Rive also from Switzerland, will display its sustainable beachwear. 

The Nigerian brand Esien supports kids education in disadvantaged communities while creating garments with sustainable fabrics.  

ProudSista brand founders -Cheryl and Heather Small -are from the UK. Their collection is a  celebration of diversity and inclusion. 

Katharine Story is a California world-acclaimed women’s fashion designer whose signature style and sustainable brand evoke the bohemian chic elegance of her Laguna Beach residence.

Kaonë is based in Prishtina, Kosovo. Every piece of the brand is handmade from upcycling or sustainable textiles.. 

Elisabetta Perer is an Italian designer raised in the UK, where she worked as a Hatha yoga teacher. She now returns to London with its collection of clothes to practice yoga made of eco-sustainable materials such as Modal fabric.
