In occasione dei giorni del Salone del Mobile 2023, la settimana che la citt\u00e0 di Milano dedica ai settori del Design e Arredamento, la World Sustainability Organization, attraverso il suo progetto\u00a0<\/span>Friend of the Earth\u00ae<\/span><\/a>, lancia un nuovo standard di certificazione – \u00a0Sustainable Furniture – pensato proprio per i produttori che realizzano oggetti per l\u2019interior design nel rispetto dell\u2019ambiente.<\/span><\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

A differenza della maggior parte delle certificazioni del settore, Sustainable Furniture di Friend of the Earth\u00ae<\/a> <\/span>racchiude in un unico logo pi\u00f9 criteri: impatto ambientale, emissioni, responsabilit\u00e0 sociale, ad esempio. Questo si traduce in una maggiore immediatezza per i produttori, che possono veicolare facilmente il loro messaggio di sostenibilit\u00e0 nelle varie declinazioni. A loro volta i consumatori avranno maggiore garanzia attraverso le verifiche di terza parte di \u00a0Friend of the Earth\u00ae. Il logo di certificazione \u00e8 facilmente riconoscibile ed il messaggio intuibile, permettendo al consumatore una scelta di acquisto responsabile. \u00a0<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Friend of the Earth\u00ae \u00e8 un progetto della World Sustainability Organization<\/a><\/span> (WSO), Organizzazione fondata con la missione di preservare le risorse del pianeta, ripristinare gli habitat critici e proteggere le specie in pericolo attraverso le attivit\u00e0 di certificazione, sensibilizzazione e i progetti della sua fondazione. Friend of the Earth\u00ae opera promuovendo pratiche agricole sostenibili e certificando i prodotti provenienti da un\u2019agricoltura rispettosa dell\u2019ambiente e della biodiversit\u00e0.<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

In base al nuovo schema, un elemento d\u2019arredo pu\u00f2 presentare il logo Friend of the Earth\u00ae se \u00e8 realizzato con materiali riciclati o provenienti da un’origine sostenibile comprovata. Nel caso di materiali di origine lignea, questi dovranno essere anche conformi alla certificazione Friend of the Earth\u00ae Sustainable Forestry, per una gestione sostenibile delle foreste o, in alternativa, rispettare gi\u00e0 criteri di certificazioni equivalenti come FSC or PEFC. Le lavorazioni e le finiture devono poi essere effettuate riducendo l’impatto ambientale e devono essere considerati i principi della responsabilit\u00e0 sociale. Inoltre, i mobili e la struttura costruita devono essere completamente e facilmente riciclabili al termine della loro vita utile.<\/span> \u00a0<\/span> \u00a0<\/p>\n

Come per gli altri standard Friend of the Earth\u00ae, sar\u00e0 un audit indipendente a verificare questi e altri requisiti, tra cui il fatto che l\u2019azienda riduca il volume dei materiali di imballaggio, che devono essere tutti riciclabili, provi che il prodotto \u00e8 costruito per durare in media quanto o pi\u00f9 della media dei mobili simili presenti sul mercato e dimostri la facilit\u00e0 di sostituzione e di manutenzione delle parti principali. Se poi il mobile \u00e8 costituito anche da una parte elettronica, questa dovr\u00e0 essere classificata come la pi\u00f9 efficiente in termini di prestazioni energetiche.<\/span> \u00a0 Il nuovo standard sar\u00e0 presentato ufficialmente durante la settimana dedicata al Salone del Mobile, dal 18 al 23 aprile, nello store della WSO, Sustainable Friends, in Galleria Passarella 1, a Milano<\/strong>. Per l\u2019occasione, lo spazio pensato per promuovere la cultura di uno sviluppo sostenibile esporr\u00e0 alcuni elementi di arredo delle prime aziende che hanno superato una iniziale verifica dei requisiti contenuti nello schema di certificazione Sustainable Furniture di Friend of the Earth\u00ae.<\/span> \u00a0<\/p>\n

Durante la settimana, Sustainable Friends diventer\u00e0 il punto di riferimento per esperti e curiosi del tema design sostenibile, per quello scambio di conoscenze e attivit\u00e0 di sensibilizzazione della comunit\u00e0 che \u00e8 alla base della ragione d\u2019essere dello store stesso. Si svolgeranno interviste ed esponenti del settore saranno invitati a condividere i loro consigli su come fare scelte in materia di arredamento realmente sostenibile, \u201cbeyond the claim\u201d.<\/span> \u00a0<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
