degli anfibi a sangue freddo che depongono le uova in acqua. Durante la fase larvale, i girini hanno coda e branchie interne che permettono loro di vivere sott\u2019acqua. In et\u00e0 adulta sviluppano polmoni e possono vivere sia in habitat terrestri sia acquatici. La loro pelle \u00e8 coperta di muco che protegge e mantiene l\u2019umidit\u00e0. Le rane sono ottimi indicatori della salute degli ecosistemi poich\u00e9 reagiscono rapidamente ai cambiamenti ambientali. Vivono in vari ambienti, dalle regioni tropicali e subtropicali, con il massimo della biodiversit\u00e0 nella foresta pluviale .<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_eae_slider elementor-section elementor-top-section fattori stanno causando il declino globale delle rane.<\/p><p>I principali sono:<\/p><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Pratiche agricole non sostenibili.<\/li><li>Sfruttamento delle risorse: caccia, cattura, disboscamento, pesca e raccolta in acqua.<\/li><li>Altre attivit\u00e0 umane: industrializzazione, urbanizzazione, turismo, estrazione mineraria, trivellazioni, costruzione di dighe, strade e ferrovie.<\/li><li>Specie invasive, parassiti e patogeni, come il <strong>fungo chitridio<\/strong> (<em>Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis<\/em>), un patogeno fungino che causa la chitridiomicosi, una malattia che colpisce gli anfibi, infettandone la pelle, e compromettendo la loro capacit\u00e0 di respirare, regolare l&#8217;idratazione e assorbire nutrienti attraverso la pelle.\u00a0Questa malattia \u00e8 considerata una delle principali minacce per la biodiversit\u00e0 globale degli anfibi, portando a declini di popolazione e, in alcuni casi, all&#8217;estinzione di specie.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_eae_slider elementor-section class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2b7c79d2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2b7c79d2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Secondo la IUCN, esistono 6.343 specie di rane nel mondo. Di queste:<\/p><ul><li>2.562 specie sono in calo demografico.<\/li><li>In Sud America ce ne sono 905 in declino, in Asia sud e sud-est 573, e nell\u2019Africa subsahariana 482.<\/li><li>Paesi particolarmente colpiti includono Colombia (317 specie in declino), Madagascar (241) ed Ecuador (220), seguiti da Brasile (197), Cina (199), Indonesia (156), Per\u00f9 (159), Malesia (133), Messico (106), India (113) e Vietnam (128).<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"has_eae_slider elementor-column elementor-col-50 Lanka).<\/li><\/ul><p>Questa situazione \u00e8 allarmante, considerando il ruolo delle rane come predatori e prede negli ecosistemi.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_eae_slider elementor-section criticamente minacciate \u00e8 necessario intraprendere pi\u00f9 azioni:<\/p><ol><li><strong>1.<\/strong> Conservare gli habitat naturali per garantirne i cicli riproduttivi; per farlo, servono politiche industriali, urbane e agricole che rispettino le rane.<\/li><li><strong>2.<\/strong> Ripristinare gli habitat tramite la gestione di parchi nazionali, riserve e specchi d\u2019acqua protetti.<\/li><li><strong>3.<\/strong> Controllare malattie patogene e specie invasive.<\/li><li><strong>4.<\/strong> Applicare pratiche ex situ: allevamento in cattivit\u00e0, propagazione artificiale e creazione di banche del genoma.<\/li><li><strong>5.<\/strong> Promuovere l\u2019implementazione della CITES (Convenzione sul Commercio Internazionale delle Specie Minacciate), dato che le rane sono consumate come alimento in molte aree.<\/li><li><strong>6.<\/strong> Istituire leggi nazionali e locali di protezione.<\/li><li><strong>7.<\/strong> Sensibilizzare tramite istruzione, formazione e coinvolgimento dei portatori di interesse.<\/li><\/ol><p>Un esempio concreto: le rane arboricole macchiate, decimate dal fungo chitridio, sono state salvate dall\u2019estinzione dal team dell\u2019Amphibian Research Centre di Melbourne.
