Nella revisione IUCN del 2018 diverse specie e sottospecie sono passate da \u201cVulnerabili\u201d a \u201cQuasi minacciate\u201d o in categorie pi\u00f9 gravi.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><strong>Declino significativo<\/strong>: in 15 anni le popolazioni sono diminuite del 30\u202f%, in alcune zone fino al 95\u202f%. Grazie al loro collo lungo, consumano piante inaccessibili ad altri erbivori, aprono spazi nella vegetazione, permettono alla luce di raggiungere il sottobosco e favoriscono la germinazione di nuove specie. Inoltre, favoriscono la dispersione dei semi. href=\"https:\/\/somaligiraffe.org\/\"><strong>Somali Giraffe Project<\/strong><\/a>, un progetto di conservazione transfrontaliero basato sulla comunit\u00e0, che si concentra sulla conservazione e sul recupero della giraffa reticolata in via di estinzione attraverso la ricerca, l&#8217;educazione e il coinvolgimento della comunit\u00e0 in Kenya.<\/p><p>Attraverso la raccolta di fondi e attivit\u00e0 di sensibilizzazione, abbiamo aiutato il Somali Giraffe Project a sostenere i ranger impegnati nelle attivit\u00e0 anti-bracconaggio nell&#8217;area di Garissa e a ridurre al minimo il
