data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I rinoceronti sono grandi mammiferi terrestri che possono pesare fino a 3 tonnellate. Hanno un cervello relativamente piccolo (400\u2013600\u202fg), uno o due corni fatti di cheratina (lo stesso materiale di unghie e capelli) e una pelle spessa (1,5\u20135 cm) composta di collagene. Questa pelle spessa li protegge dai parassiti; inoltre amano rotolarsi nel fango e abbeverarsi nei pozzetti d\u2019acqua. Sono erbivori e generalmente solitari, eccezion fatta per alcune femmine che vivono in piccoli gruppi.<\/p><p>Secondo l\u2019IUCN, esistono 5 specie di rinoceronti: tre vivono nelle foreste pluviali tropicali e due in savana, macchia e praterie.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_eae_slider class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Diversi fattori stanno facendo diminuire drasticamente la popolazione di rinoceronti:<\/p><ul><li>Agricoltura intensiva, conflitti con infrastrutture e popolazioni locali (soprattutto in India e Indonesia), bracconaggio e caccia da trofeo (in Africa) rappresentano minacce rilevanti.<\/li><li>Eccesso di sfruttamento delle risorse \u2013 caccia con armi da fuoco e trappole \u2013 e deforestazione distruggono e frammentano il loro habitat naturale.<\/li><li>Nel 2021, 451 rinoceronti sono stati bracconati in Sudafrica, 56 in pi\u00f9 rispetto all\u2019anno precedente.<\/li><li>Paesi come Sudafrica, Botswana, Kenya e India bruciano tonnellate di corni per mostrare la loro politica a tolleranza zero nei confronti del commercio illegale, soprattutto destinato alla medicina tradizionale asiatica.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_eae_slider elementor-section ecosistemi\u201d: influenzano significativamente la vegetazione e l\u2019equilibrio delle praterie. Il bracconaggio e il traffico illegale di corni per la medicina tradizionale cinese sono le cause principali del declino dei rinoceronti bianchi e neri e TRO svolge un ruolo fondamentale nella loro
