During the\u00a0<b>Brasil Eco Fashion Week<\/b>\u00a0side event, eight Brazilian companies were promoted by Friend of the Earth for their commitment to reducing the impact on the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The glamorous event &#8211; including a showroom and fashion show &#8211; allowed companies to present their products, worn by models from\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"WSO Models\" href=\"https:\/\/friendoftheearth.org\/it\/wso-models-academy-agency-es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #2828da;\">WSO Models<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\">, the first ethical agency created by the World Sustainability Organization.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">The event showcased the most relevant and virtuous examples of Brazilian fashion. The South American country is internationally renowned for its fabrics and garments, the numerous woolen mills, exquisite craftsmanship, and embroidery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Brasil Fashion Week 2021 - Friend of the Earth\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MAECWKLEUZU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><a title=\"Dona Rufina\" href=\"https:\/\/www.donarufina.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #2828da;\">Dona Rufina<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\">, the first of the Brazilian companies to achieve the\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"Friend of the Earth certification\" href=\"https:\/\/friendoftheearth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #2828da;\">Friend of the Earth certification<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\">, proposed pieces made of raw wool felt, a sustainable and innovative alternative in the fashion sector. Wool felt is thermally insulating, anti-inflammatory, non-flammable, and biodegradable, making it an excellent substitute for animal skins and synthetic materials. In addition, wool felt comes in blankets of various thicknesses to create a diverse array of products, including clothes, shoes, furniture, and decorations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The felt raw material designed by Dona Rufina Marca is certified by Friend of the Earth. Products bearing the\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"Friend of the Earth Sustainable Fashion\" href=\"https:\/\/friendoftheearth.org\/live-sustainably-2\/fashion-and-textiles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #2828da;\">Friend of the Earth Sustainable Fashion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0eco-label undergo a rigorous independent control process to verify compliance with strict sustainability requirements, including the protection of wild fauna and flora; appropriate water, energy, and waste management; and social responsibility.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><b>Friend of the Earth promoted seven other brands and designers during the event<\/b>: Eneas Neto, KF Branding, Ol\u00e9 Rendeiras, Natural Cotton Color, Helena Pontes, Libertees, and Rico Bracco.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The fashion show was also the opportunity to see WSO Academy &amp; Model Agency models walk down the catwalk. This new project from the World Sustainability Organization aims to offer a platform where models receive fair treatment, their rights are respected, and their personal background is valued, including their commitment towards the community and the environment.
