The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) has received the &#8220;<b>Friend of the Earth 2023 Sustainability Award<\/b>&#8221; in recognition of its outstanding efforts to promote sustainable practices with exporting Brazilian companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">The award ceremony took place at &#8220;Sustainable Friends&#8221;, the Friend of the Earth showroom and flagship store in Milan (Galleria Passarella 1).\u00a0The store showcases several sustainable Brazilian brands: Natural Cotton Color, Tr\u00f3picca, Celeste, Demod\u00ea Ateli\u00ea and Crina.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">The event was attended by\u00a0<b>Jorge Viana (President of ApexBrasil), \u00a0Ambassador Hadil da Rocha Viana (Consul General of Brazil) and Paolo Bray (Founder and Director of Friend of the Earth and the World Sustainability Organization)\u00a0<\/b>as well as other representatives of the Brazilian Consulate and Brazilian companies\u2019 associations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">Paolo Bray also interviewed the president of ApexBrasil and the Consul General of Brasil, in the \u201cSustainable Friends\u201d store. The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture the provides several incentive programmes for sustainable agriculture and farming.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">The World Sustainability Organization is the only\u00a0organization\u00a0proposing\u00a0two consumer friendly logos\u00a0(Friend of the Sea and Friend of the Earth), which can potentially certify sustainability for the whole food range (seafood and agro) as well as non food products and services. WSO delivers the certifications based on 30 years experience in the field, in full independence and by mean of audits of accredited certification bodies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">WSO\u2019s activity is international in scope and multiproduct.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><a title=\"Friend of the Sea\" href=\"https:\/\/friendofthesea.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #26a576;\">Friend of the Sea<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0has become the leading certification standard for products and services which respect and protect the marine environment.
