Now the\u00a0<b>Ethical and Sustainable Showroom<\/b>, a project of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsogroup.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Sustainability Organization<\/a>\u00a0(WSO) and part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/friendoftheearth.org\/live-sustainably-2\/fashion-and-textiles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sustainable Fashion<\/a>\u00a0program, is ready to make its comeback in Milan, in a new location, with more brands coming from around the world and a special event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><b>&#8220;Fashion Meets Wildlife&#8221;<\/b>\u00a0is the theme of this new edition. Wild and unspoiled nature represents the common thread of the designers&#8217; creations, which match the sophisticated and original atmosphere of\u00a0<b>Temakinho Milano<\/b>, a Japanese-Brazilian sushi restaurant. The Art Nouveau building at 4, Via Boccaccio in Milan,\u00a0<b>will host the WSO Showroom, Sept. 20-26<\/b>, and surprise you with colors and sounds from Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">Temakinho has been the first restaurant chain to join the WSO\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/friendofthesea.org\/sustainable-standards-and-certifications\/sustainable-seafood-restaurants-and-retailers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sustainable Restaurants<\/a>\u00a0program, over five years ago, and receive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/friendofthesea.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Friend of the Sea\u00ae<\/a>\u00a0golden level certification for its engagement to promote seafood from sustainable fisheries and aquaculture. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\"><b>NINE<span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0BRANDS FROM FIVE COUNTRIES AND THREE CONTINENTS<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">Last February&#8217;s event attracted the attention of journalists, influencers, buyers as well as students from all over the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">The garments and accessories on display on this edition of the Showroom are produced by designers from India, Brazil, Italy, Switzerland \u00a0and Colombia. The former designed, in the words of the creator herself, &#8220;for conscious and extroverted women,&#8221; the latter, a line for little girls &#8220;with a princely style, giving the dresses of dreams.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">Throughout the week, it will be possible to appreciate some of the garments worn by models from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/friendoftheearth.org\/it\/wso-models-academy-agency-es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WSO Models Academy &amp; Agency (WSO MAA)<\/a>, while,\u00a0<b>the big news this year, on Saturday 24 at 5 p.m<\/b>. it will be possible to participate in\u00a0<b>a special event, a fashion show<\/b>. Each brand will select some of its proposals for the models of WSO MAA, and other associated ethical agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">The mission of the WSO Models Academy &amp; Agency is to provide a platform where models can be treated fairly and their rights respected . WSO&#8217;s Ethical and Sustainable Showroom aims to address these issues and provide buyers with a reliable reference for sustainably sourced, verified garments worn by models whose rights are respected, supported, and protected in their work. In addition, the proceeds from the Showroom&#8217;s operations will largely go to WSO&#8217;s conservation projects and campaigns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) estimates that the global Fashion industry, worth nearly $3 trillion,\u00a0<b>is responsible for about 8 percent of the world&#8217;s greenhouse gas emissions<\/b>. Textiles consume about 215 trillion liters of water annually, with chemicals released during both production and consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica;\">Clothing accounts for\u00a0<b>one-fifth of the 300 million tons of plastic produced globally each year<\/b>. Polyester, a form of plastic derived from petroleum, has overtaken cotton as the mainstay of textile production.
